France will provide war risk coverage for its businesses in Ukraine

Bpifrance Assurance Export, backed by the French government, is set to provide insurance to companies eager to partake in Ukraine's rebuilding, even amidst the ongoing conflict, according to the Ministry of Economy.

Eligibility for this investment insurance extends to any company under French jurisdiction engaging in long-term foreign investments, whether in new or established enterprises, as well as credit institutions granting loans to foreign entities. The insurance safeguards investors or financial institutions providing investment loans against risks like property damage, non-payment, non-transfer, expropriation, and political upheaval. Coverage extends up to 95% of potential losses pertaining to an investor's assets or dues.

Furthermore, France is actively in talks with allies about bolstering Ukraine's economy and leveraging novel financial tools to facilitate the nation's resurgence.
